Trauma, Eating Disorder & Chronic Pain Therapist in Winter Park, FL
Hi, I'm Jenelle! I'm glad you're here.
Sometimes the challenges we're facing aren't just emotional or physical, they're both. Whether you're navigating chronic pain, recovering from an eating disorder, or working through complex trauma, therapy can be a place to better understand what you're experiencing and begin finding relief.
My approach is warm, collaborative, and grounded in the belief that meaningful change happens when we feel understood and supported. Together, we'll explore what's keeping you stuck, process difficult experiences, and develop practical tools to help you move forward.
I offer in-person therapy in Winter Park, virtual therapy in Florida, and telehealth services in Vermont and South Carolina.
Therapy available in English and Spanish.

How I Can Help
Maybe you're exhausted from living with chronic pain or illness and feeling like your body is constantly working against you.
Perhaps food, body image, or eating disorder thoughts take up more of your day than you'd like.
Or maybe past experiences continue to affect your relationships, sense of safety, and ability to feel at ease.
Whatever brings you here, you don't have to figure everything out on your own.
I work with individuals navigating chronic pain, eating disorders, medical trauma, health anxiety, and complex trauma. Together, we'll make space for your experiences, better understand the patterns that may be keeping you stuck, and work toward meaningful, sustainable change.
You deserve support that considers both your emotional well-being and your lived experiences.

Jenelle’s Therapy Approaches
-
Brainspotting is a trauma-focused therapy that helps access and process experiences stored deep in the brain and body. It uses specific eye positions (“brainspots”) to identify where distress is held, allowing the nervous system to process and release it at a pace that feels safe and attuned. Brainspotting can support healing from trauma, anxiety, chronic stress, and emotional overwhelm by working beyond words and honoring the body’s natural ability to heal.

Chronic pain doesn’t just live in your body, it often gets “stuck” in the brain’s alarm system, making the pain feel louder and harder to escape. Wondering how Pain Reprocessing Therapy can help? PRT helps retrain the brain to turn down that alarm and relate to pain in a new way. Many people find that PRT not only reduces pain but also restores freedom, confidence, and hope for everyday life.
-
Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT) helps couples identify the values that matter most—trust, honesty, connection, stability—and use them as a guide during conflict and decision-making.
You’ll learn skills for emotional regulation, communication, and moving through tough conversations with more intention and less reactivity.
-
Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) helps when emotions feel overwhelming or hard to manage. It teaches practical skills to handle stress, regulate big feelings, stay present, and improve communication.
With DBT, you can find more balance and feel more in control of your life. Learn more from a DBT therapist in Winter Park, FL.

Faith can be a powerful source of comfort, hope, and strength, especially during hard times. In faith-based counseling, we’ll honor both your spiritual beliefs and your mental health needs.
You set the tone for how much (or how little) your faith is woven into our work together. Think of it as a safe space where your whole self, mind, body, and spirit, is welcome. Connect with a Faith-Based Therapist in Winter Park, FL.
What You Can Expect Working With Jenelle
I believe therapy works best when you feel comfortable showing up as your authentic self, without pressure to have everything figured out.
You can expect honesty, compassion, collaboration, and sometimes a little humor, because even when we're working through difficult experiences, there can still be room for laughter.
Living with chronic illness, recovering from an eating disorder, or processing trauma can feel isolating. My goal is to create a space where you feel heard, respected, and supported through both the difficult moments and the hopeful ones.
We'll move at a pace that honors your needs while working toward the changes that matter most to you.
