Health Anxiety Support Group
A Virtual Therapy Group For Individuals Wanting to Connect with Other Like Minded People and To Better Manage Health Anxiety
What is a Health Anxiety Support Group?
The Health Anxiety Support Group is a therapist-led virtual group for adults who find themselves caught in cycles of worry, fear, and uncertainty about their health.
Health anxiety can make it difficult to feel reassured—even after receiving reassuring information. This group offers a supportive space to better understand these patterns, learn practical ways to respond differently to anxious thoughts and sensations, and connect with others who understand how consuming health-related worry can become.
The goal isn’t to dismiss your health concerns. It’s to help you build a healthier relationship with uncertainty, your body, and the thoughts that keep anxiety going.

You don't have to know before reaching out. If health-related worry is taking up significant mental space, leading you to repeatedly check or seek reassurance, or making it difficult to feel safe in your body, this group may be a helpful source of support.
We'll begin with a brief consultation so you can ask questions, learn more about the group, and determine whether it feels like the right fit. The consultation also allows us to learn a little about what you're experiencing and make sure the group can appropriately support your needs.
-
No. You do not need a formal diagnosis to inquire about the group. The consultation process will help us determine whether your current concerns align with the focus of the group.
-
No. This group provides mental health support for anxiety surrounding health, illness, symptoms, and uncertainty. It does not provide medical evaluation, diagnosis, or treatment and should not replace appropriate care from your medical providers.
-
Yes. The Health Anxiety Support Group is held virtually, allowing you to participate from a private and comfortable space. Participants must be physically located in Florida at the time of sessions.
-
The official start date is currently TBD. We are gathering interest and will provide additional scheduling information as the group gets closer to launching.
-
Sessions are $65 each.
For members who would like to attend consistently, a 4-session monthly package is available for $240, reducing the cost to $60 per session and saving $20 over four individually purchased sessions.
-
The Health Anxiety Support Group is a private-pay service and is not billed directly to insurance. If you have out-of-network benefits, we may be able to provide a superbill for you to submit to your insurance company for possible reimbursement. Coverage varies by plan, so we recommend checking directly with your insurance provider. HSA/FSA cards are welcome.
-
You'll be encouraged to participate in ways that support your growth, but you won't be expected to share every detail of your experience. Building comfort and trust takes time, and we want the group to feel supportive rather than pressured.
-
This is an important concern, especially in a health anxiety group. The group will be intentionally facilitated to keep conversations therapeutic and avoid becoming a space for comparing symptoms, seeking medical reassurance, or reinforcing one another's fears.
Jenelle will help redirect conversations when needed so the focus remains on understanding anxiety patterns, building coping skills, and supporting recovery.
-
Yes. Group therapy can complement individual therapy by providing additional skills, connection, and the opportunity to work through health anxiety alongside others who understand.
During your consultation, we can discuss how the group may fit alongside the support you're already receiving.
The consultation also gives us a chance to learn a little about what you’re navigating and make sure the group feels like an appropriate and supportive fit for you. If it seems like another type of support would better meet your needs, we can talk through that with you as well.
